Rednal church's appeal for stories, pictures and more to help with its 70th anniversary

A REDNAL church is appealing for people to contribute photographs, stories and anything linked to the building and community as it gears up for its 70th anniversary.

The foundation stone for St Stephen’s Church was laid on April 21, 1951, and now wants to create a special archive and 70th anniversary booklet full of photographs and stories.

Plans are also afoot to create a special flag that will fly above the church bell tower from April 21 and throughout the year and the organisers want people to send in their design ideas.

A statement on the church’s Facebook page read: “We need everyone’s help in doing this with your photos, stories and anything in between.”

Anyone wanting to submit photographs, stories and flag designs should email [email protected]
