PUPILS at North Bromsgrove High will be able to keep up-to-date with what is going on at their school in a new student-written newsletter being launched today.

The first issue of ’North News’ has hit the shelves after an idea was put forward to headteacher Nick Gibson by one of the sixth-form students.

It was started to spread information and to increase the number of pupils getting involved in extracurricular clubs, competitions and events at the school.

Each edition – written by a team of students in both lower school and sixth-form – will be released at the start of each half-term.

It will also include wider news from the local community, stories about teachers, their interests and what they do in their free time and informative items, such as study tips for exam success.

The online newsletter is sent out to students via email, and will be available on the school website for parents to view.
