A RARE handmade model train engine was stolen from a storage unit in Bromsgrove.

The green engine, which is 2.5ft long, was taken along with a tender mounter and railway track.

It is unknown when the item was stolen as the owner has not visited the unit since March.

The discovery was made on October 15.

Sgt Steve O’Neil said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who has seen this train or perhaps has seen it for sale somewhere.

“Anyone who has any information in relation to this burglary is asked to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who knows where the model train is or who has any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
