BUDDING Ben Ainslies can take to the water this Saturday at Barnt Green Sailing Club’s ‘Push the Boat Out’ taster sessions, writes Elliot Ball.
Along with its fellow affiliated organisations in the UK, the club will be open to the public from 11am and 4pm.
Visitors will be accompanied by an experienced instructor who will provide safety equipment and ‘show them the ropes’.
Participants are encouraged to bring a change of footwear and a waterproof coat.
Last year nationally 39,000 people attended the open day with thousands of beginners inspired to hit the water.
Regular sailors are urged to #TellAFriend to help promote the national campaign which encourages people to get involved with their local club.
