MORE than 4,000 purple crocus bulbs were planted at Crown Close, Bromsgrove, near the war monument, by 10 pupils from Finstall First School.
The planting was part of the Rotary Clubs’ campaign to eradicate polio worldwide.
Members of The Rotary Club of Bromsgrove were present at the event and also celebrated the newly-refurbished Rotary Club plaques.
For years they were situated in Mill Lane but have now been moved to near the war monument.
Rotarian Ellen Evans said: “The children had a great time planting the bulbs and it’s a fantastic way of getting an important message out.”
