THE GARDENS at the Primrose Hospice has been given a new look, thanks to 13 volunteers from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
Each participant donated £10 to cover the cost of the flowers and then gave their time to help brighten up the plot at the day hospice.
The members of the group also got out their paint brushes to stain the gazebo.
Lindsey Higgins, Primrose Hospice’s fund-raising manager, said:
“The gardens are usually maintained by our brilliant team of regular volunteer gardeners, and the additional plants will add to our already gorgeous garden and children’s’ garden.
“Now the weather is warming up, the gardens are a real pleasure for the users of the day hospice.”
