Primrose Hospice urging everyone to GO YELLOW to support the charity

THE PRIMROSE Hospice and Family Support Centre is urging people to get involved in its annual GO YELLOW week in June to raise funds and awareness of the charity.

The hospice is encouraging local businesses, schools, clubs and community groups to host their own yellow-themed fundraising between June 8 and 22 to support the cause.

The Primrose offers its services free to those living with life-limiting illnesses and their families and, to do that, needs to raise £1.95million each year.

People are being urged to hold their own Yellow Week event or fundraiser with their family, friends, workplace, school or club.

Keen bakers could host a yellow-themed bake sale, school staff and pupils could plan a bright fancy dress day, bosses and employees may want to schedule a ‘dress-down-in-yellow’ day at work or people could dunk each other into a bath of yellow custard.

Jack Taft, Primrose Hospice’s fundraiser, said: “Go Yellow is a local community and business fundraising drive across two weeks in sunny June.

“It’s where we encourage creative ideas and endeavours to come together, bringing a diverse array of community hosted fundraising activities and events.

“It is all geared towards raising vital funds for Primrose Hospice and the patients and families in need of our support.

“Get involved yourself, whether its hosting or supporting an event and help us make 2026’s GO YELLOW better than ever.”

The charity wants to support people, groups, schools and businesses with any fundraising events they are planning so organisers are urged to let the Primrose know.
