Primrose Choir's rallying call for more singers to join its ranks

THE PRIMROSE Choir has appealed for new members to join its ranks.

The friendly group meets up every Wednesday at 7pm at the Primrose Hospice in Finstall, Bromsgrove, to rehearse and socialise ready for the next concert.

Singing has been shown to have a vast variety of benefits on both people’s physical and mental health, including relieving stress, improving lung function, developing a sense of connection and it can even improve snoring.

The choir performs regularly at concerts throughout North East Worcestershire to raise vital funds for the Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre.

Anita Clayton, member of The Primrose Choir and supporter, said: “l joined the choir 12 years ago and I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done.

“I have made some lovely friends and look forward to meeting with the choir every Wednesday night.

“There is nothing like singing to help with your mental health and well-being.

“The camaraderie we have together is amazing.

“We all have one aim and that is to enjoy singing and raise much needed funds for Primrose Hospice.

“You don’t have to be the next Pavarotti to join, simply come along and sing together with the choir.”

There is no audition involved, the choir welcomes people of all ages and abilities to join them in supporting the charity.

Anyone wanting to join the choir or find out more should call Anita on 07737 317493.
