POWER CUTS - More than 100 homes in Northfield and some in Rednal without electricity

MORE than 100 homes in Northfield and some in Rednal have been left without electricity following a power cut.

The National Grid said several B31 areas have been affected by the ‘low voltage’ incident.

Among the roads impacted are Bell Holloway, Vineyard Road and Greenvale (Postcodes –  B31 1LQ, B31 1LS, B31 1LY, B31 1LZ, B31 1PJ, B31 1PQ).

Engineers are on the scene and it is anticipated power will be restored by 2.30pm.

Meanwhile, four homes are still without electricity in Rubery after a power cut there.

The roads affected include Leach green Lane.




That is estimated to be restored by 2pm

Any vulnerable customers who need assistance should call  0800 6783 105.


National Grid has apologised for any inconvenience and said it was working to have electricity back as soon as possible.
