MORE than 240 homes in Northfield and Weoley Castle are without electricity after three separate power cuts in the areas.
Properties in the B31 and B29 area are affected.
In the first one, roads including Long Mynd Road, Shenley Lane and Merritts Hill are without power, some 75 homes. The National Grid estimates the power will be restored by 11.30pm tonight.
In Maryland Drive, Northfield, 88 homes are without power – electricity should be restored there by 10pm.
And in the third power cut, a total of 70 homes are affected – including properties in Jervoise Drive, Windmill Hill, Baylis Close and The Leys. The electricity there should be restored by 1am tomorrow (Monday).
National Grid apologises to customers affected and adds engineers are on the scene to try and restore power as quickly as possible.
