LICKEY Hills Art Society will welcome portrait artist Mike Skidmore at 7.30pm next Saturday, February 5, for its first in-person meeting in two years.

Mike will demonstrate a ‘Portrait in Oils’ and talk about his work at the event at Longbridge Methodist Church, Bristol Road South.

Mike uses traditional and new techniques and presents them in an informal informative way.

Over the years he has fine-tuned his skills and passed on tips to artists all over the country.

Admission is free for members and £4 for visitors.

The very friendly group is always looking for new members and joining costs just £20 for the year.

The society meets monthly where members can learn new techniques and skills and they can also take part in exhibitions and workshops throughout the year.

For more on the society, email Lyn Sharp at [email protected] and go to mikeskidmoreonline.com for more on Mike and his work.
