A POPULAR workout class for parents, launched earlier this year, is going inside to keep more new parents fit throughout the winter.
Yogi Buggi, which is a yoga and buggy fusion workout, began in the spring after Bromsgrove District Council surveyed new parents to see what would encourage them to get healthy.
Now that the weather is turning, the popular class will move from Sanders Park to the multipurpose room at Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre but will still involve baby and buggy.
Physical Activity Development Officer, Hayley Gwilliam, said: “The sessions have been really popular in the park and it’s great to have like-minded parents working out together, without the worry of finding someone to look after their little one while they exercise.
“We hope we can keep up the momentum of the classes now that they are moving indoors for the winter.”
She urged parents who had not tried it to give it a go.
The indoor sessions start at 9.30am on Friday, November 5, and will run every week after that.
Each session costs £3.50 and can be paid via bromsgrove.gov.uk – the council’s website.
Anyone wanting to try it can have their first session free.
