Police warn drivers after car door handles were tried in Cofton Hackett

DRIVERS in Cofton Hackett are being warned to be on their guard after three incidents in the early hours of Monday morning where car door handles were being tried in the area and items were taken from one

At 1.48am a woman in a grey bobble hat approached vehicles on a drive in Oakfield Drive.

Then at 4.14am, a man was seen trying car door handles in Cofton Church Lane.

Before 6.30am on Monday, various items were stolen from a vehicle parked on a driveway in Skylark Street.




In another incident – on Beech Park Drive, Barnt Green, between 7pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday, a purse was stolen from an unlocked Volkswagen Tiguan.

The purse was recovered later but cash and a driving licence had been taken.


Witnesses or anyone with any information on other similar incidents should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
