Police urge people to review their home security after car-key burglary in Hunnington

A BLACK Seat was stolen in a car-key burglary in Hunnington on Monday.

The thieves gained access to the property on Bromsgrove Road between 1.45pm and 2.50pm.

They then took the keys and the car which had the partial registration number RWH.

Police have urged people to evaluate their home security to prevent themselves becoming burglary victims.

Officers recommend people make sure their homes always look occupied and suggest using lights on time switches if they leave them unattended at night.

People should keep all doors and windows locked and when fitting new ones, ensure they comply with the British Standard marks.

And car keys should be kept in a secure place, hidden away so they are not easily visible or within easy reach of the front door.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101.
