POLICE have thanked the public after a woman mentioned in an appeal came forward to speak to officers.
The force put out a request earlier this week relating to an incident on Birmingham Road on Valentine’s Day.
The victim was driving on Birmingham Road when a child ran out in front of her car.
Fortunately, they managed to stop before hitting the child.
The child was then grabbed by a woman who hit the child on the head, and they both got into a vehicle.
When the victim attempted to take a picture of the vehicle, a woman got out of her car and smashed the victim’s phone on the floor and then pulled her from the car by her hair.
Police released a picture of a woman who was in the area at the time and officers wanted to speak to as it was believed she could help with enquiries.
The force has now confirmed they have spoken to her.
