POLICE have described drivers as ‘shocking’ after detecting 63 motorists breaking the speed limit on one road in Bromsgrove in just two hours.
Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit (OPU) carried out speed checks on the Stratford Road earlier today.
They said the highest speed recorded was 59mph in a 30mph zone.
The police were responding to residents’ concerns about speeding on the stretch.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Unfortunately it appears that the concern is justified.”
Being caught speeding can earn drivers a £100 fine and three penalty points on their licence.
