A MAN who died in a collision on the M5 got on the motorway at Bromsgrove, say police officers.
Police are seeking dashcam footage from the motorway between J4A Bromsgrove and J11 Gloucester between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday, August 7.
A motorist spotted the small silver hatchback car down an embankment, some hours later, a mile south of the junction 10 exit for Cheltenham.
The motorist reported it to police just before 5.30am on Thursday, August 8.
A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “Officers attended and a man, believed to be the driver, was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
“No one else was in the vehicle.
“We believe the car got on the M5 at junction 4A at Bromsgrove and travelled down the M5 on Wednesday night before the collision happened.”
Investigators are asking lorry and car drivers who were travelling on the M5 between those hours and who may have dash cam footage to assist police by calling 101 and quoting incident 72 or emailing [email protected]
