Police patrols stepped up in Barnt Green and Rubery amidst 'beggars falsely claiming to be homeless and causing a nuisance'

HIGH VISIBILITY patrols have been carried out by police in Barnt Green after reports of ‘beggars making a nuisance of themselves’.

There was also suspicious activity involving men in balaclavas trying car door handles.

Hagley and Rubery Police have received reports in recent days of beggars – claiming to be homeless when they are not – in Hewell Road, Barnt Green, and New Road, Rubery.

People are being urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police on 101.
