BROMSGROVE Police have moved to reassure the community in Catshill after a man was dragged into a vehicle and assaulted by two men.

The incident happened around 8.15pm Saturday night (April 22) in Byron Way and the 25-year-old victim was later found near to the One Stop Shop having sustained a broken jaw in the attack.

He was then taken to hospital where he underwent surgery for the injury.

The Standard received reports of a lot of police activity and the area being cordoned off by officers.

A spokesperson said: “We want to make it clear this was not a random incident and the attackers and victim knew each other.”

He went on to appeal for witnesses, urging anyone who saw anything or anyone with any information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
