FIFTEEN fixed penalty notices were issued to a group of people in Sanders Park on Saturday, January 9 for breaking lockdown rules.

Police said they dispersed the gathering quickly and noted that, despite the rule break, most residents in Bromsgrove are keeping to the rules.

Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Bromsgrove and Redditch, Lee Page, said: “Most people are doing their bit to prevent unnecessary deaths by following the coronavirus restrictions.

“But we will not hesitate to take action against those who put the lives of others at risk by deliberately and recklessly flouting the rules; the rules are in place to keep us all safe.”
