Police carrried out two chainsaw drugs raids in Wychbold this morning

AN ELITE police Task Force team used chainsaws to force their way through doors during dawn raids at two addresses in Wychbold this morning.

They were joined by other officers from West Mercia Police for the swoops which took place simultaneously at 6.30am in Cross Furlong and Sheldon Close.

At Cross Furlong two people, a 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were held on suspicion of supplying drugs. A quantity of what was believed to be an illegal substance was also seized along with scales.

In Sheldon Close various drugs paraphernalia was seized along with a mobile phone and following the swoop a 28-year-old woman is being investigated in connection with the supply of drugs.




Sgt Sarah Kent, from Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “These warrants are part of ongoing work by the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Droitwich to deal with drug dealers in the town.”

She added the raids were carried out after concerns and information from local residents.


She urged anyone else with any information on drugs use or dealing in their area to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
