Police appeal to trace man who raised alarm after older man collapsed and died in Bromsgrove

AN INVESTIGATION had  been launched after the death of an older man in Bromsgrove on Wednesday.

Police are trying to track down another man who raised the alarm to.the incident which happened in Manor Court Road.

The man officers want to speak to is in his early 20s and he was wearing black clothing at the time.

He was walking home around 10.30pm when he came across the older man collapsed in the road.




He called for help and emergency services were alerted.

Sadly the older man, who was in his 70s, died at the scene.


His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been prepared for the coroner.

Det Sgt Iain Standing said: “We don’t believe the man is connected with the elderly man’s death in any way, but would like to speak to him to thank him.

“He left the area without giving his contact details so we would like him, or anyone who knows who he may be, to get in touch with us.

“We are not treating the death as suspicious.

“It was a very sad incident, and our thoughts are with the family of the man who died.”
