Police appeal to find stolen guns in Wythall burglary

A NUMBER of guns and ammunition have been stolen during a burglary at a garage in Wythall.

Thieves forced entry into the garage on Alcester Road between 7.30am on Monday (June 5) and 12.30pm on Tuesday (June 6).

A gun cabinet was broken into and ammunition, two rifles and a shotgun are believed to have been stolen.

Detective Chief Inspector, Melanie Paley, said: “The guns were all lawfully held, licensed and in a locked gun cabinet, which was also taken but has since been recovered.




“Enquiries are currently ongoing to trace the offenders and we are actively pursuing a number of leads in an attempt to apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen goods.

“We are now asking people with information to come forward. If you are either offered any of these items, or you have any other information about their whereabouts, which can help with our investigation, please get in touch.”


Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 260S of 6 June.
