A DOG was deliberately hit by a golf club at Lickey Hills Country Park, leading to extensive injuries.
Police are appealing for information on the attack which happened around 1pm on Saturday, November 8.
A woman was walking her dog near to the Lickey Hills Country Park and Visitor Centre when a man hit the dog with a golf club he was carrying.
The dog was seen by a vet, and it suffered swelling to the face and dislodged teeth.
PC Fiona Bonehill said: “This was a distressing and unprovoked act of violence against a defenceless animal in a public space.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have seen a man carrying a golf club in or around the park.”
