Police appeal after van is broken into in Blakedown

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Apr, 2024   0

A VAN was stolen after thieves forced the passenger door while it was parked on a driveway.

The incident happened at a property on Belbroughton Road, Blakedown between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Thursday.

The raiders escaped with a bag that had been left in the vehicle.

Police have urged witnesses or anyone with information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Officers are also advising motorists to take precautions to lessen the chances of themselves becoming victims of crime.

Often criminals are ‘opportunistic’ and strike when they can gain.

Police suggest people remove all valuables from their vehicles, ensure they are locked and alarmed, parked – where possible – on driveways or in well-lit areas and use items, such as steering locks, to prevent cars and vans from being driven away.
