Police appeal after armed robbery at Bromsgrove's Tesco Express

ARMED robbers burst into a Bromsgrove supermarket and fled with cash.

The incident happened at 9.50pm at the Tesco Express on the Old Birmingham Road.

Two men entered the shop and threatened the staff with weapons before demanding cash from the tills.

They fled with a sum of money, heading off on foot towards Rednal.




the first man was aged between 45 and 50 years old, around 6ft tall and with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark top.

The second man was in his 30s, also around 6ft tall, and was wearing a blue top and jeans.


Det Con Jemma Greenow said: “This was obviously a frightening incident for the members of staff.

“We would like to reassure the community that a thorough investigation is ongoing and we are extremely keen to trace the offenders.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in the area or who has information that could help us.

“Any information, no matter how small, could assist with our investigation.”
