What to do if you find an unexploded bomb
Following the incident, West Midlands Police have issued the following advice to people if they find suspect explosive devices.
It includes not touching it and leaving the item where it is – even if it looks old and rusty, it could contain explosives and may therefore be dangerous.
Call 999, ask for the police and give clear information about the location of the suspect item.
Immediately follow the instructions of police staff on the phone and officers at the scene.
