Plenty to do at Hanbury Hall this May half term

Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd May, 2023   0

THERE will be plenty for families in Bromsgrove and Droitwich to do at Hanbury Hall over the May half-term.

There will be a chance to explore the gardens in the birds, bees and butterflies trail, which will cost £1 each.

Explorers will be tasked with completing nature-inspired activities including a bee and spoon race while discovering some of the wildlife at Hanbury Hall.

Visitors can also join a storytelling session with local author Ruth Goddard in the long gallery bookshop, where she will read her children’s books ‘Blossom and the Bee’.

The book tells the tale of Blossom, her adventures in nature and how she makes friends with the bee.

And the characters from the books will be hiding in the long gallery between 10am and 3pm from Saturday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 31.

Other activities include a demonstration from the Burcot woodturners as they make honey dippers, and there will also be some handcrafted wooden items available to buy from their pop-up shop.

And Everyone Active Bromsgrove will be providing children’s games such as Giant Connect 4, skipping ropes and mini football.

The Burcot woodturners and Everyone Active will be on site on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 and 28.
