Plans submitted to bulldoze Bromsgrove's All Saints garage for 19 one-bedroom flats

BROMSGROVE’S All Saints garage could be bulldozed to make way for 19 one-bedroom apartments if plans submitted by Bromsgrove District Housing Trust are given the go ahead.

Each of the flats will have its own car parking space and cycle space and changes will be made to the roads for pedestrian and vehicle access to the site.

Of the 19 apartments, 12 would be social housing and seven would be ‘intermediate’properties – homes for sale or rent which are charged at levels above social housing but below market rates.

The garage site is opposite All Saints Church, on the corner of All Saints Road and Birmingham Road.

So far there have been six comments objecting to the proposal on Bromsgrove District Council’s planning portal.

Residents argue the infrastructure, especially with regard to the surrounding roads, is not in place to support the development.

The application will go before Bromsgrove District Council’s planning committee but no date for that has yet been decided.
