A BROMSGROVE care home raised £200 for Primrose Hospice during an all-day Christmas event.
On December 8, Santa and his reindeer flew into Burcot Grange and Lodge to fund-raise and spread the festive cheer to all the residents.
The event was full of festive fun and activities, like visiting Santa’s grotto, feeding his reindeer, visiting Christmas stalls, taking part in a Christmas trail and listening to the fairground organ.
There was also the opportunity for children to participate in a festive drawing session with residents.
One resident commenting on the day said: “I absolutely love the joy and tradition of Christmas, for children and grownups alike.
“It was so lovely to have this festive, fun day together as a community.
“That’s what Christmas is all about!”
Burcot Grange and Lodge teamed up with charities for the event, including The Phoenix Children’s Foundation – a charity that enriches the lives of young people and their families living with illness, disability, or lack of opportunity – which provided the reindeer for the event.
Vicky Osborne, general manager of Burcot Grange and Lodge, said: “Staff and residents were so pleased to host this festive event for the community.
“We are dedicated to ensuring that Burcot Grange and Lodge plays an important part in the local community.
“This Christmas fete was an opportunity for people of all ages to come together and join in with some Christmas fun.”
