RESIDENTS across Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham woke up this morning to a blanket of snow which had fallen through the early hours.

And while some set about clearing their cars, de-icing their windows and windscreens and slowly setting off, others simply admired it from the window.

For many, the opportunity of a rare snowfall was too much of a pictoral opportunity to miss.

We are blessed in our area with so much picturesque countryside that looks beautiful at most times of the year.
