IT’S BEGINNING to look a lot like Christmas in Catshill after the village’s lights were officially switched on.
The event was organised by Catshill and Marlbrook Parish Council and opened by Bromsgrove Town Cryer Kevin Ward.
Crowds gathered for the event which featured live festive entertainment from several groups.
Among them were Chloe May’s Dance Academy, Stars Dance Academy, the Fairfield First School Choir and the Methodist Men’s Choir.
Father Christmas delighted the crowd when he made a very welcome appearance.
And, after a countdown, the plunger was pushed by Bromsgrove District Council Chairman Coun Rod Laight, accompanied by the man in the big red suit, Coun Shirley Webb and Coun Paul Masters from the parish council.
