REPRESENTATIVES from Bromsgrove Climate Action (BCA) joined the 3rd Bromsgrove Scout Group on Friday to plan dozens of larger trees in Sanders Park.
Thanks to the half-term activity, there is now a nice new copse of downy birch, hornbeam, guelder-rose, whitebeam, wild service and spindle beside the Scout hut.

Some black poplars have also been planted by the lake. BCA and other nature lovers have planted thousands of trees in the past five years. The project was funded and supported by Richard from Bromsgrove District Council.

Jude Tipper said it was a great morning with plenty of community spirit and the group managed to dodge the worst of the rain.
“It was lovely to have the Scouts involved.
“I hope they are proud of what they’ve achieved.
“If anyone knows of a spot which would be all the better for some trees, let us know and BCA will see if we can help.”
