A WORLD record could be broken in Worcester next Sunday, September 11, with the most dogs attending an outdoor cinema viewing.

Rachel Marie, 23, and Coco, her six-year-old pooch, have decided to take on the Guinness World Record book one paw at a time.

The current record is held in Brazil with 120 dogs, but the Registered Home Boarder Rachel argues Worcester can definitely beat this.

She said: “I think 200 dogs would be the best outcome.

“Seeing all those dogs spending time together, it would be such a good experience.”

Those attending the screening of 101 dalmatians will be asked for a small donation upon entry which will be going to a chosen animal charity.

Leads, dog biscuits and a picnic blanket can also be brought to the event as there will be a charity donation drop-off point.

Although this is not Rachel’s first time raising money for dogs, she has also raised £800 for Battersea Dog Home.

Rachel added: “Breaking the record would mean the world to me.

“It shows that if you put your mind to it, you can do it.”

Dogs will have to be over the age of one to be classed by the Guinness World record, but puppies are welcome to come for socialising.

The event is an outdoor cinema screening off Bilford Road, Worcester., from 3pm to 8pm.

People can visit the ‘Dog Movie Night’ page on Facebook to sign themselves and their pooches up to help break a record.
