Pedmore Sporting Club welcome MP Sajid Javid as its guest of honour at luncheon

PEDMORE Sporting Club welcomed Bromsgrove MP and Home Secretary Sajid Javid as their guest of honour at their latest lunch at Hagley Hall.

The Long Room was packed with 122 of the club’s members who enjoyed the get-together in the company of Mr Javid and the PSC’s patron Lord and Lady Cobham.

Mr Javid spoke for 30 minutes before answering questions from the tables submitted by Bob Warman.




The Home Secretary was presented with a piece of handmade Stourbridge cut glass donated by British Glass Foundation Chairman Graham Knowles.

PSC President Jon Bellfield also handed over a donation of £2,000 to the Norton Collection Museum in Bromsgrove, Mr Javid’s chosen charity.


Pedmore Sporting Club was founded in 1970 and has over 100 members across the West Midlands.

The PSC raises funds for local needy and charitable causes.

During the past 48 years the group has raised and donated £1.5million to local worthy causes.

Members raise funds through luncheons and sporting occasions.
