THE PDSA shop in Rubery has been celebrating Volunteers’ Week by urging anyone to come along and lend a paw from now until June 7, writes Ellen Heaselgrave.
The store raises funds to help unwell or injured pets, and has been inviting people of any age to try charity volunteering for a week in the shop.
PDSA shop manager Linda Clifton said the week was a great opportunity for local people to help make a difference to the lives of sick or injured animals.
“Volunteering is great in so many ways, whether it’s to boost your knowledge and skills for future employment opportunities, or a way to meet new people.”
