A NUMBER of special scholarships are on offer, giving children the chance to study at Bromsgrove School.
Boys and girls due to enter years seven, nine or 12 who otherwise may not be able to afford to attend the school are eligible for the bursaries.
All external candidates wishing to apply for an academic (16+ only), drama (13+,16+), music (11+,13+ and 16+), art or sports scholarship (13+, 16+) need to complete and return their application with a completed registration form and registration fee before the January 3 deadline.
Pupils can apply for both a scholarship and a bursary.
Able pupils living in Bromsgrove and the surrounding area, in need of financial assistance, would also be eligible to apply for a Foundation Scholarship.
The maximum award is half the day fee which can be enhanced with a means-tested bursary, taking it to the full amount.
Rachel Scannell, assistant head at the school said: “Bromsgrove is committed as far as possible to helping those pupils who would benefit from an education but whose parents or guardians cannot afford full fees.”
All forms are available on the school website – bromsgrove-school.co.uk – with applicant being notified by February 24.
Candidates wishing to be considered for a Foundation Scholarship should apply in writing to Miss Rachel Scannell, Assistant Head, Bromsgrove School.
