A LORRY driver had a lucky escape yesterday (Tuesday) after his HGV overturned on a busy section of the M5 northbound near Wychbold.

One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance crew in a rapid response vehicle were called to J5 and J6 of the M5 at 4.55pm.

A man in his 30s got out of the vehicle after suffering minor injuries to his arms and face.

He was then taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Three lanes were blocked for nearly 12 hours following the crash and Highways England confirmed the road was made safe at about 7am this morning (Wednesday).
