Our guide to the bonfire and fireworks events in Bromsgrove and the surrounding area

THERE will be a number of bonfire and firework events happening in Bromsgrove and the surrounding area over the next few days.

Here is our comprehensive guide to those taking place.

Sanders Park, Bromsgrove

Gates will open at 5pm on Saturday, November 3, with live music from 5.30pm, the bonfire being lit at 7pm and the firework display at 7.30pm.

Among those taking centre stage will be Roxy Music and David Bowie tribute band The Major Toms and local artists Jasmine Rawlings and Trigger.




The event is hosted in partnership with the Primrose Hospice which receives a donation from ticket sales.

Tickets are £14 for a family (two adults and two children) or £5 per adult and £3 per child with under twos going free.

They are available from the Primrose Hospice High Street shop and the council’s Bromsgrove District Council Customer Service Centre at Parkside.

Tickets will also be available from a stall on the High Street between 11am and 3pm on November 2 and 3.

On the night, visitors who have purchased tickets should enter through the normal entrance whereas anyone wishing to buy tickets on-the-door should go to the overspill car park.

Kidderminster Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5pm until 9pm on the night.

Bromsgrove Rugby Club

There will be a bonfire (lit at 7.15pm) and fireworks (at 7.45pm) on Friday, November 2.

There will also be a bar, hot food, children’s funfair and live music by The Ron Jeremy Band.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children (under 2s go free) and £15 for a family ticket. No alcohol to be brought onto the premises.

Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club

On Friday, November 2, there will be a bonfire (lit at 7.30pm) and fireworks (at 8pm), along with a disco from 8.15pm.

There is food available.

Tickets will be £5 for adults (16+), £3 for children (three to 15) and under threes go free.

Avoncroft Museum

On Monday, November 5, Avoncroft is holding a Fireworks-Free Bonfire Night.

It is open at 5pm for children’s crafts and to help make the Guy, before the bonfire is lit later on.

There are no fireworks at this traditional event making it suitable for young children or anyone that does not like the noise of fireworks.

There will, however, be tasty food from the barbecue and mugs of hot chocolate available.

It promises to be a family friendly Bonfire Night party everyone can enjoy, tickets cost just £3 per person!

Wychbold First and Nursery School

THE PARENTS and teachers association (PTA) at Wychbold First and Nursery School will be holding its first community fireworks night.

The event at 6pm on Sunday, November 4, in the Wychbold community field will raise funds for the first school’s library refurbishment.

The gates open at 5.30pm and the firework display will be at 6.30pm.

There will be food provided by Pizzareeta and drinks available to purchase at the event.

Due to licensing restrictions there are only 499 tickets available so people are being urged to book early.

Tickets are £3 in advance (£10 for a family of up to five) by emailing [email protected] or from Wychbold First and Nursery School.

On the door, if there are places left, it will be £4 and £15.
