RAYMOND Briggs’ magical tale The Snowman will be brought to life in Bromsgrove by the Orchestra of St John on Saturday, November 30, writes John Tait.

This will be the third year the popular event has been held with two performances of the ‘Music from the Snowman’ concert – at 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

Mozart ‘s Sleigh Ride will also be performed and the orchestra will have Bromsgrove Town Crier Kevin Ward to bring the story to life as the narrator, along with a large choir of local students.

Jo Slade from the Friends of St John said: “This wonderful concert is so uplifting and the setting of St John’s really makes for a magical event.”

Hot chocolate will be served before the event, people will be able to have their picture taken with The Snowman and have a chance to win a cuddly Snowman in the raffle.

Tickets are £5 for adults and children under 18 go free.

They are available from Decanter Spirit in Bromsgrove High Street.
