THE Royal Orthopaedic Hospital has been named as the NHS’s most inclusive employer for the second year running.
The Northfield hospital finished in seventh place in the official top 50 list at the inclusive awards, which acknowledges businesses which consistently encompass all types of diversity.
Run by ‘Inclusive Companies’, the top 50 league table ranks employers across all strands of diversity, including age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith and religion.
The hospital’s chief people officer Sharon Malhi, said: “I am so grateful to everyone who has helped us improve our listing from last year and colleagues who help make the ROH inclusive for our staff and patients.
“Our staff survey results indicate that the Trust is among the highest performing Trusts across several categories, with higher-than-average response rates and notably higher rates of morale, job satisfaction and engagement.
“Importantly, the team feel listened to and empowered to speak up – which is a critical part of building an open and progressive, inclusive culture.”
