A FUNERAL directors will be getting out their bucket and soap tomorrow (Saturday) to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff at Mortons Funeral Directors will host a car wash outside their Northfield office and are promising to pull out all the stops to have cars glistening by the time they leave.
Derek Case, Mortons’ managing director, said: “We are doing this as our own version of Macmillan Coffee Morning which has become a big annual event on our calendar.
“We are delighted to be contributing once again.” Staff will also be staging a bake off competition, a raffle and a PlayStation room for youngsters.
“It’s a chance for us all to have some real fun and raise money for a truly worthwhile cause.”
The Macmillan Coffee Morning encourages organisations and individuals to host their own events, and is the charity’s biggest fund-raising event to help people facing cancer.
Last year £27million was raised across the UK.
