A NORTHFIELD restaurant is among dozens of other hospitality venues to support a charity fundraiser for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Omar Khayam helped out with the Dine and Donate scheme which asked customers to gift an optional £1 when paying their bill. In total, 32 restaurants and venues had their customers chip in to raise a whopping £21,636.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity say the fund will help them do more with sick children and enable them to transform environments for the 100,000 ill children its hospital treats every single year.
The scheme organised by Tonic – Talent in Hospitality ran throughout the month of April 2024.
A spokesperson for Omar Khayam told the Standard: “We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for donating and getting involved with this amazing project.
“We could not have raised this money without their support for the children in need.
“We can proudly say we were one of the only independent South Birmingham restaurants raising awareness for this good cause.
“It’s been an honour raising funds. The project will continue every year, hoping to raise £50k in 2025.”
