THE man arrested over an arson attack on a property in Northfield with a woman and two children inside has been charged.

David White is accused of breaking into the house in Farren Road on Monday and setting fire to upholstery in the lounge.

The woman and two children managed to escape the property unhurt before large parts of the building were gutted.

He was charged last night with arson with intent to endanger life.

The 34-year-old also faces battery assault charges against a woman and a child, plus one count of aggravated vehicle taking.
