Northfield curry house tops the competition at awards show

A NORTHFIELD Indian restaurant has come out on top at the Nation’s Curry Awards.

Omar Khayam was crowned winner of the Recommended Restaurant of the Year title at a black-tie event on February 12.

The Nation’s Curry Awards, led by Oceanic Events, celebrates the rich and diverse culture of Indian cuisine. This year’s ceremony was the second annual showcasing of the awards.

A spokesperson for Omar Khayam said: “We were utterly surprised when we received an award during the gala night.

“This recognition is a testament to our dedication and years of service to the community since our inception in 1963.

“It has been a heck of a journey but we remain consistent in our concepts and will continue to ride the storm for another 60 years. “Thank you to Oceanic Events for recognising our hard work and lacing us forward.”
