A NORTHFIELD coach driver cannot wait to get back out on the road tomorrow after three months because of the Government’s Coronavirus restrictions.
James Clarke from Clarkes Travel will take 30 passengers on a traditional day trip to Weston-Super-Mare.
The coach usually seats 53 but can take just over half to ensure social distancing is in place on the journey.
James, who launched his company three years ago, said: “Our last day trip before this one was last year as all of March and Easter trips had to be cancelled.”
He had to increase costs because of the additional measures needed during the pandemic and has thanked customers for their confidence and support which he said was ‘overwhelming’.
Prior to boarding passengers temperatures will be checked, there is hand sanitiser on board and people have been seated according to their ‘bubble’.
Face masks are compulsory – as they are on all public transport from buses and trains to ferries and planes – and it is contactless payments only.
