A COLLECTION to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees will be held by members of the Rotary Club of North Worcestershire and their friends in Bromsgrove on Friday, March 25.
Rotary aims to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through fellowship, work and support.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We have all been deeply troubled by the ongoing and escalating war in Ukraine.
“The humanitarian impact is severe, with over 2million people fleeing the country and in dire need of emergency aid.
“As an organisation which has peace as a cornerstone of its global mission, Rotary stands with the people of Ukraine.”
The Rotary Foundation created an official channel for Rotary members around the world to contribute funds to support the relief efforts under way by Rotary districts and has designated its Disaster Response Fund as the main avenue for contributions.
