TALENTED actors and back stage crew at North Bromsgrove High School will stage their first production for three years at the end of this month, writes Holly Martin.
The determined cast and team have worked tirelessly on High School Musical with rehearsals under way since July 2021.
The story centres on two High School students, Troy and Gabriella, who both discover their love for music and performing, while also meeting their existing obligations in the basketball team and the academic decathlon.
But their new-found passion for drama and music brings the school community together.
Mrs Needle, who is directing the show, said: “I am so excited to produce High School Musical at North Bromsgrove High School.
“The students have worked extremely hard and this is the perfect platform to showcase their exceptional talents.
“I am very proud of everyone involved and cannot wait for everyone to see what we’ve been up to.”.
The performance will not only showcase the talents of the performing arts students, but also those of product design who are helping to build the props, textile students who are creating the fabulous costumes, and talented sixth form musicians who will be assisting with the sound and lighting of the show.
Performances take place in the school hall at 6.30pm from March 29 to 31.
