Next 'Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful' litterpicks on the way

THE LATEST Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful litter picks will take place next Saturday, June 23, this time in two wards in the district.

Aston Fields will get another clean after the successful one in May, along with Charford this time.

The ‘Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful’ campaign was launched last month by Sarah Milburn and the Facebook page now has more than 200 followers.

The plan is for litter picks to take place once-a-month and Sarah also wants to hear from other areas across the district interested in joining the campaign.

The cleans will be part of a bigger scheme which will also hopefully include ‘bloom’ events.

Sarah is one of Keep Britain Tidy’s 100 #LitterHeroes Ambassadors across the UK.

She said: “It’s about the community coming together to look after their neighbourhoods and taking care of them.

“We would love as many wards as possible to join us.”

Both the litter picks at Charford and Aston Fields will be at midday and 3pm.

For the Charford one, meet outside Charford First School and for the Aston Fields one, meet outside the Ladybird.
