Bargain shoppers will now be able to spend the exclusive Charity Shop Gift Card in NewStarts ‘thrift’ stores in Bromsgrove and Frankley.
NewStarts will be accepting the multi-retailer charity shop gift card, developed by the Charity Retail Association, at their stores on Sherwood Road, Bromsgrove and Arden Road, Frankley as part of the ‘gift card for good’ scheme.
West Midlands shoppers can also purchase The Charity Shop Gift Card at NewStarts stores as well as Acorns, Myton Hospice, St Giles, Marie Curie, Shelter, YMCA and The Children’s Society, to be spent exclusively at participating charity shops across the UK.
Marion Kenyon, CEO of NewStarts, said: “We’re delighted to join the scheme that can do so much to help people live more sustainably and help those “disadvantaged access essential items.
“We’re hoping to work with the local council and other support agencies to make full use of the gift card.”

NewStarts is a community re-use social enterprise with a mission to provide free furniture, emergency food and household supplies to families and invidivuals in need because of low income or financial crisis.
The Charity Retail Association has hundreds of members with thousands of shops across the UK, who have all helped divert hundreds of thousands of tonnes of textiles away from landfill and helped fund hundreds of millions of pounds for charity projects annually.
